Storing & Serving Tips

  • Tippin's pies ship frozen to retain freshness and to survive the shipping journey. We pack them with dry ice, and the pies should arrive frozen or partially frozen. The pies will require thawing time before serving, and you'll find thawing instructions for each type of pie outlined below.
  • If your cream pie or pumpkin pie has thawed during shipping and reaches a temperature above 40° F, do NOT consume it. Contact Tippin's if this happens.
  • If the pies are frozen upon arrival, you can keep them in the freezer and thaw when you're ready to serve. We do not recommend refreezing pies that have already thawed.
  • Once thawed, please enjoy your Tippin's pie within 3 days.

Fruit Pies:

  • Allow your pie to thaw to room temperature before serving. Frozen fruit pies may take 7 to 9 hours to thaw.
  • For a flaky crust and that freshly baked taste, we recommend warming fruit pies in the oven:
    • Preheat oven to 250° F.
    • Remove all plastic packaging from the pie.
    • Set pie on a baking sheet and place on center rack of 250° F oven.
    • Heat pie for approximately 15 minutes.
    • Allow pie to cool for approximately 5-10 minutes before slicing.
    • All ovens bake differently, so keep an eye on your pie and adjust time or temperature as needed. We do not recommend warming in the microwave or toaster oven.
    • Store any remaining fruit pie in a sealed container at room temperature.
